It's no secret that Christmas is on it's way, and I like everyone else is super excited. But, I have decided to do a little something different this year. I love to help people, and had the idea of just giving to a charity to feel good this year, but when it comes to giving money, I sorta have an issue with just giving it. I really like the idea that companies have come up with- buy a product, and they donate a portion of the proceeds to a charity of some sorts. I feel like it's a win win, and when someone asks about a certain thing that I am wearing, drinking, etc, then I can tell them about the company that I bought the item from, and feel good. Plus, considering that I am a blogger, it drives more traffic to that company.
Today I am going to give you 11 gift ideas for your bestie, your sister, your brother, your mom... anyone that you love, and all the gifts come from companies that give back in some sort of way.
Back in 2009, a brother/sister duo, Christian and Carmin Black, decided to step up and set out to change the lives of people in need. With only $200, their passion to end the global hunger epidemic resulted in the formation of HALF UNITED. Their idea was to give half of their profits to feed people in need. Deemed "Fashion with a cause", HALF UNITED sells jewelry and shirts, and with each product that is purchased from HALF UNITED, the purchase provides 7 meals for children in need. Seven years after it's formation, HALF UNITED has stayed true to their idea and customers have provided over 200,000 meals for children in need in the USA, Fiji, Cambodia, Liberia, Nepal and Haiti.

Featuring apparel, accessories, and even things for your pet, Hendrick & Co. was founded in 2011 to simply help animals in need. With every item purchased, Hendrick & Co. delivers a $10 donation to save animals. More than 600 rescues, shelters and sanctuaries in the U.S. and Canada have partnered with Hendrick & Co. and to date, Hendrick & Co. has donated more than $1 million. If that wasn't enough, the one thing that I love about Hendrick & Co. is the fact that they show you the animals that are in need. They give you a photo, a name, and a description of the animals that you are going to be helping with your purchase. And they pull at your heartstrings. They make you want to help the poor creatures. Yes, their stories are sad, but you get to see what a difference your purchase is going to make.

4 // Clara Tote in Vintage Floral | Better Life Bags
Better Life Bags is about changing the lives of women. Started in 2009 by Rebecca Smith, Better Life Bags started out as an Etsy shop, and Smith would give 10% of each bag sold to entrepreneurs overseas through microloans. Around 2012, Smith experienced a large boom, and decided to turn to her neighborhood for help. She started employing women around Detroit, MI. Her mission? To hire women who have various barriers to employment to make the companies custom leather and fabric bags. Through the employment, they are given a chance to succeed in life, family, and friendship. All bags that Better Life Bags sells are custom made and most are made-to-order. You can find some ready to ship bags, like my favorite Clara Tote in Vintage Floral, but you can also design your own unique bag! Each bag also comes with the name of the women who made your bag, and Smith believes that this makes a personal connection.
Featuring clothing, accessories, and more, Out of Print is dedicated to celebrating favorite stories while promoting literacy in low income communities. For every item sold, they will donate one book to Book for Africa. Therefore, each purchase you make helps to fund literacy programs and book donations to communities in need.

“Pura Vida” is Spanish for “pure life”, a Costa Rican philosophy that encourages the appreciation of life’s simple treasures. Started five years ago by two college students, Pura Vida Bracelets is about slowing down and living in the moment. Through the sales of their bracelets, the company is about to give artisans in Costa Rica a better life. Along with their rather unique colors and durable bracelets, Pura Vida Bracelets also has a charity collection, which was created to give back to different causes all over the world. They are partnered with over 190 charities and have donated more than $935,358 to date. They just started their Pura Vida Monthy Club and it is a huge hit. The club is like a subscription box, but instead of getting stuff that you don't want, each month you will receive 3 hand picked bracelets (up to a $50 value), and trust me- you will love them.
