my perfect foundation

To be honest, I was never a foundation gal; my interest in foundation actually developed within the past few months. Alot of beauty vloggers on YouTube like to use liquid foundation, and I have been on the hunt for the best one for my skin, so when Studio Gear gave me the chance to try out their Dual Identity Mineral wet/dry foundation, I jumped at the chance. I had used and reviewed their hydrating CC cream, so I knew I would love it.

Studio Gear is a "prestigious cosmetics brand featuring a full collection of professional makeup brushes, revolutionizing complexion formulas, and a wide selection of color products for the eyes, cheeks, and lips"*. The line consists of  high quality cosmetics at a reasonable price. The products are also talc, fragrance, and paraben free, and they are not tested on animals.

Studio Gear graciously sent me the dual identity mineral wet/dry foundation, the revitalizing day serum, and the #3 domed foundation brush to try out, and I was definitely impressed.

A revolutionary advancement in the beauty field, this foundation is able to be used as a dry foundation, cream foundation, and a liquid foundation.

To use as a dry foundation, all you have to do is use a kabuki brush and blend in. I love that the mineral powder does not just sit on my face, it actually blends in.

To use as a cream foundation, blend the foundation with a day cream on the back of your hand, apply with fingers and blend into skin.

To use as a liquid, apply as a you would as a dry foundation, then dampen your sponge and press the moistened puff into the already applied powder. Blend with the #3 domed foundation brush to see the transformation. The transformation to a liquid is my favorite thing to do. I love how the foundation is lightweight,

The revitalizing day serum is an exclusive formulation containing structural lipids, antioxidants, and natural botanicals that can help to visibly diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and protect the skin from oxidative damage and photo-aging caused by environmental stresses. Skin texture and clarity are significantly improved and makeup application is dramatically enhanced.

Key Benefits
  • Fatty Acids/Phospholipids: protects and insulates the skin from environmental damage and moisture loss.
  • Squalane/Avocado Oil: restores skin suppleness, flexibility, and texture.
  • Vitamin E: a powerful antioxidant that enhances the healing process

I like how the serum is meant to be used after a moisturizer and before foundation, which means that it is being used as a primer; and it really works. My face feels really soft when I use it. My foundation also lasts all day with it.

#3 Domed Foundation Brush*
To use: use circular, buffing motions with your favorite liquid foundation to create a completely flawless, high definition complexion.

This beautiful fluffy brush is so easy to use, and I love the result that I get when buffing in my dual identity foundation.

If you ever want to try out the dual identity foundation (which I highly recommend) or any other products, you can grab it from Studio Gear. And be sure to follow Studio Gear on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, & Pinterest.
