At only $10 a month, Netflix offers more flexibility than cable, and there are plenty of good shows on Netflix. You can find old shows, like Quantum Leap, Alias, and the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer, current tv dramas, Netflix original series like Orange is the New Black, kids shows, and many great movies.
I have a small confession... I tend to watch Netflix more than regular TV. Sure I still like to watch my favorite shows like Chicago Fire, SVU, and the like, but I love the idea of Netflix: there are no commercials and you don't have to wait until next week to see the next episode. I guess that's why alot of people, including me, will binge watch shows on the loved streaming subscription & today I am going to share five shows that I love to binge watch.
1. Z Nation
via |
Currently a show on SyFy, Z Nation follows a team of post-zombie apocalypse survivors and their mission to deliver the only know survivor of the zombie bite/virus from New York to California. It's fast paced, and unlike most Netflix shows, it's short with a run time of about 45 minutes per episode. Currently there are two seasons available on Netflix, and the third season will premier on SyFy September 23.
2. The Walking Dead
via |
One of the most talked about shows on tv and the highest-rated scripted series on cable, The Walking Dead gets better with each season. Yes, everyone is talking about it, but it's fun to watch and the makeup artists did an amazing job. It is currently a show on AMC and it will return October 23 with Season 7.
3. Orange is the New Black
via |
Premiering in 2013, it was OITNB that actually thrust Netflix into the limelight, and it's no wonder why. Set in a woman's prison, it's raunchy, lovable, and addicting. There are currently four seasons available on Netfix.
4. Longmire
via |
Originally on A&E, Longmire was picked up by Netflix when A&E refused to renew the series. Based on the Walt Longmire Mysteries series of novels written by best-selling author Craig Johnson, Longmire follows a sheriff in Wyoming, and his quest to find his wife's killer. With an Indian reservation, major crimes, and a sheriff on the hunt, the series does not disappoint. Currently there are four seasons available on Netflix, with a rumored fifth season premiering in September '16.
5. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
via |
Created by the lovable and hilarious Tina Fey, Unbreakable follows Kimmy as she tries to adjust to life in New York city after being rescued from a cult where she was held for 15 years. Kimmy's positive attitude is addicting, the show is hilarious, and the cast is unforgettable. Not to mention, the theme song is the best, and the episodes are only like 20 some minutes long. There are currently two seasons available on Netflix, and a third season has been confirmed.
and three more to love:
Breaking Bad
Sons of Anarchy
Gilmore Girls
