I have been a Birchbox subscriber for 10 months now, and haven't thought once about cancelling my subscription due to a bad box (trust me, I have received one or two). January's box was in my top three- granted I really don't have a lot to compare to, I am going off the fact that I loved EVERY product in the box and have even added one or two products to my daily skincare/makeup routine.
For the month of January, I received:
Whish Three Wishes Body Butter in Lavender // full size $24
I am a lotion/body cream junkie, and this is by far the best smelling body butter I have ever tired (besides a pumpkin and marshmallow one). It was hydrative to my dry skin, relaxed me, and was great for every day use. A great addition to my winter skin care routine.
Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream // full size $38
A Birchbox exclusive, I love the fact that eye cream is cruelty-free and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. It's such a wonderful product, that I am actually using it daily now. I really hydrates my undereye area, and decreases my puffiness.
The Balm cosmetics Stainiac in Beauty Queen // full size $17
I had never been a lip stain type of gal, and I had been dreading getting the Stainiac in on of my boxes. But you know what? I'm glad I finally did- I love the color and the fact that it stays forever! Definately worth it. ps... it's also a cheek tint!
Number4 Non-Aerosol Hairspray // full size $30
A hairspray that doesn't leave any residue? Oh man, I really love that! I used this more for texturizing, but it worked like a charm. Now, would I really spend $30 on some hairspray... not really. But I love the concept. And it's good for the environment.
Harvey Prince Sincerely // full size $55
Birchbox is definitely known for their perfume samples (you can edit your profile and make sure you only receive a max of 6 a year), and I definitely have the collection to prove the assumption right. BUT I really like the smell of the Sincerely. It smelt fresh, wasn't overally floral, didn't smell like a man, and was just pretty.
Do you have a monthly subscription box?
I have been wanting to try these boxes forever! They sound like they are so awesome!

I have never done a subscription box but I know tons of people rave about them. great way to sample products at a reasonable price before spending tons on products that you may not like.
ReplyDeleteI really want to try the birchbox. I got my sister the box for 6 months for a Christmas gift. I think I may ask for it for my birthday. I love trying new products!
ReplyDeleteThey aren't bad-there are ones that are more expensive and better than Birchbox, but I'm happy with my sub. Plus, you have a chance to "review" items on their site, and accumulate points, which can be used on full size product.
ReplyDeleteYou should try it for 3 months- they have a package, and it's only $30. It's really nice to receive a surprise gift package in the mail every month. I bet you would love it!
ReplyDeleteYou should! I love it, and it's only $10 a month. What's that? Two coffees at Starbucks? :)
ReplyDeletedid you know... my Jan birchbox came in the mail while I was gone and hubby threw it AWAY?!?! He thought it was junk and wasn't supposed to come. nevermind the fact I'd gotten the same boxes for the past 5 months prior. ugh. I'm bummed I didn't get to see my box from last month. I cancelled the box going forward though due to $$$$. :( Yours looked AMAZING for Jan though! super jealous!
