Today is my last recap of 2014 (and the hardest). Going through my blog posts of the last three months, and my planner to see exactly what I had done was quite frankly, depressing. The last three months of the year were the most stressful and hit me the hardest mentally.
With out further adieu...
October
Personal wise: October came in with a breath of fresh air, or fresh pumpkin I like to say, and left with a bang. I obsessed over pumpkin everything, and my grandmother was admitted to a nursing home, following a stroke. We visited the pumpkin patch, painted our pumpkins, and took Lil Man trick or treating. My grandmother was discharged from the nursing home, and moved in with my parents. The hubby's surgery was moved up from December, and then cancelled an hour before cutting time, due to insurance not approving it in time, and the same day, my grandmother passed away. And then we attended her funeral. Worst month of the year.
Blog wise: I wrote a letter to myself in ten years, explained why I will never own an IPhone, let readers in on my biggest fear and favorite quotes, and talked about what happens when things don't go as planned.
November
Personal wise: November was like a breath of fresh, compared with the previous month... The insurance came through and the hubby finally had his back surgery, we went to a monster truck show, I participated in my work's one stop shop, in which I featured painted wine glasses from my Etsy shop, we ate some turkey, went black Friday shopping, and the hubby and I celebrated 7 years of being together.
Blog wise: Despite being the lowest month for blog posts, I described my support system, filmed and shared my first video tutorial, participated in the tour through blogland, and talked about how failure is "normal".
Personal wise: I celebrated my twenty-ninth birthday, sent out over 100 Christmas cards, Lil Man made best friends with the man in red, we saw a crap ton of Christmas lights, had a great Christmas, and rang in the new tear with a movie night.
Blog wise: I described why turning 29 was different, joined forces with Chits & Giggles to describe how kids and animals are the same and Bright on a Budget to talk about our favorite beauty dupes, and ended the year with a nice little recap and my fav pictures from 2014.
2014 was a good year for me. I learned alot of things personally and blog wise, and I just hope that next year will be so much more better.
The picture of your son putting an ornament on the Christmas tree is adorable.
