Happy last day of July friends! Since it’s the last day of the month, there is no time like today to share with you my July favorites; aka- my favorite beauty products from the month of July.
one | Marcelle New-Age System (Includes New·Age Precision Day Cream (1.7oz), New·Age Precision 8 in 1 Power Serum (1oz), New·Age Comforting Foaming Cleanser (3.4oz), and Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion (5oz))
Until this month, I had only tried Marcelle's BB Cream in Golden Glow, and had loved it; but wasn't sold enough to spend the $27 on it. Then in my July Birchbox, I received a sample of the 8 in 1 power serum, and and seriously fell in love. Yes, I am only 28, but I figured that it may be time to start thinking about winkles, and I loved that the power serum makes my face feel so soft and seems to improve my complexion (by that I mean, my face isn't so red with it). So, I decided to cash in my Birchbox points, and grab up the New-Age system (which btw, you receive all full size products). I absolutely love everything about it! The makeup remover is seriously the best I have ever used. The day cream is a non-sticky, lightweight cream that you can't even tell you're wearing. And the cleanser makes my face feel luxurious. Other than my Urban Decay Naked Basics pallet, this may be my best purchase ever!
This was another product that I had purchased with my Birchbox points, and I am so happy that I did. I had heard about it and read the reviews, and the main thing that sold me, was the SPF quality. For some odd reason, even though I have like 200 lip balms and chap sticks, I don't really have any that have SPF. So I bought it, and have been using it every day that I go outside- it has a great scent, and doesn't taste like wax.
I tend to have really dry skin in the summer, and hate how ling it takes to put on lotion after a bath. This stuff take all of 7 minutes to spray on and rub in, sprays in different directions (so I can get all the parts of my back that my short arms can't), and smells amazing. I can totally understand why it recieved the Allure Best of Beauty Seal! I swear, putting lotion in a sprayable bottle was the best invention ever.
four | Pixi Eye Zone Brightener
So, I had been using a sample of Dr. Brant Glow revitalizing eye cream and I loved it, but when I went to buy it, I was not paying $55 for it. Unfortunately, I am starting to get get dark circles under my eyes (lack of sleep, stress, being a mom, idk), and needed something. So after doing some research, I found Pixi. It was affordable- $16- and when I first used it, I loved it. It has a soft luminous glow, and is formulated with lavender water, sodium hyaluronate, vitamin E and aloe vera. I love that I can wear it with or without makeup and it still does it's job! Amazing stuff!
I have a habit of using facial wipes to cleanse my face when I wake up in the morning, and using them to take off my makeup at night. I usually use eye make up remover, but for the rest of the face, it's a wipe's job. Simple Skincare's wipes are fragrance free, and free of dyes and harsh ingredients, so they don't irritate my sensitive skin. They are super convenient, and don't leave my face feeling greasy after I use them.
