sunshine award

happy sunday friends!!! today i feel extreamly loved...

why? well, amanda over at marry mint decided to nominate lil ole me for the sunshine award. i have been nominated for the liebster award like three different times, but never the other awards floating around blogland. and it's truly flattering that either someone actually reads what you say or that they just want to ask you a bunch of questions and get your response. either way, i love it.

1 | i have three younger brothers.

2 | i have been engaged twice, but only married once.

3 | even though i am american, my ancestry is scottish and irish, with some cherokee indian thrown in there somewhere.

4 | growing up, I was in 4-h, and raised ducks, geese, goats, rabbits, chickens, and turkeys.

5 | i love to paint.

6 | i am a recovering nail biter.

7 | my son was born at the same hospital i was.

8 | i have a love for history.

9 | i have a very eclectic taste in music; from rolling stones to luke bryan to katy perry- i love them all. 

10 | i have a fear of heights, but love roller coasters. 

11 | my "pointer toe" is longer than my big toe (it has something to do with my origin).

1 | What is the story behind your blog's name?

i love dandelions and daisys (that would be a great re-brand name!). one day, me and the lil man were taking a walk in the yard. he picked up a dandelion seed flower and blew on it. i always loved the quote "when looking at a field of dandelions, you can either see a field full of weeds or a field full of wishes" and everything just clicked in that moment.

3 | What is your most embarrassing story?

at our wedding, my husband decided to get a little too drunk, so when i wanted to go home, i couldn't find him. i was also drunk and feeling kinda sick, so i went outside and laid down on the cold sidewalk- in my wedding dress. my friend took a picture. needless to say, i finally found my husband, but my dress was so dirty, and is still dirty almost 5 years later (i never got it cleaned or preserved- it's in a bag in my closet). 

4 | When do you feel the most confident?

when i'm naked. ha! when my hair is looking good, and my clothes are fitting just right. oh, and i have pretty polish on my toes.

5 | What is something you are proud of?

it's a tie between my son and my education

6 | What are your three favorite stores to shop? (online counts)

7 | What is something you like to splurge on?

makeup, occasionaly. but usually shoes

8 | What is something about you that people would be surprised to learn?

i have five tattoos- three on my upper back, one on my middle back, and one on my ankle

get a big girl job, grow the blog, loose some weight, potty train the lil man
